HONG KONG -- CNOOC has struck oil with the Qinhuangdao (QHD) 35-4 well in Bohai Bay. The discovery well penetrated oil pay zones with a total thickness of 21.4 m (70 ft), the company says.
The well flow tested at an average rate of 1,700 b/d of oil and 400,000 cf/d of natural gas via a 11.11-mm choke.
