CEO | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC) just started operation of the oil hydrocracking device with an annual processing capacity of 4 million tons, the largest of its kind nationwide with the entire standard performance.
The device will be used to turn out diesel oil and jet kerosene that should meet stricter quality standards, as the Chinese government requires for the future. Moreover, it will produce quality spermaceti oil, part of the raw materials for ethylene cracking and lubricant production of a petrochemical project in Nanhai, south China.
The technology of the device is offered by the Royal Dutch/Shell Group, dislcoed Dong Xiaoli, general manager of CNOOC, the larges offshore oil producer in China.
The cooperation between Shell Global Solutions and CNOOC will be a milestone for Shell's licensed technology business and its patent technology promotion in China, said Edward Daniels, vice president of Shell Global Solutions under the wing of the global energy giant.
