The fifth annual China Offshore Summit 2010
SHANGHAI, Dec. 2 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The 5th Annual China Offshore Summit 2010, co-organized by the China Petroleum and Petrochemical Engineering Institute (CPPEI) and Global Leaders Institute, officially supported by the top three Chinese oil corporations as CNOOC, CNPC and Sinopec will return on March 23-25, 2010 at the Intercontinental Hotel, Beijing.
Some big moves took place in China's offshore oil & gas market this year. CNOOC released the first batch of seventeen blocks covering an area of 42,020.6 km2 in the South China Sea, opening to foreign companies for cooperation. Sinopec Group has successfully acquired oil explorer Addax Petroleum for 8.27 billion Canadian dollars. So far, this is the largest overseas takeover ever by a Chinese company. In terms of engineering technology, the first circular drilling rig, prepared for drilling at a water depth of almost 4,200 meters, named "Sevan Driller", was jointly built by COSCO Shipyard and Sevan Marine. Overall, the Chinese offshore market has been marching forward rapidly and has ambition to expand business through worldwide cooperation.
With the overwhelming success of China Offshore Summit 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, China Offshore Summit has become the most influential annual international offshore oil & gas conference in China focused on both strategy and technology. Topics cover great concerns and issues, focusing on regional and cross-regional E&P cooperation, offshore engineering, deepwater technology, project investment and financing and relevant all-around support to offshore industry.
Apart from that, this summit is an international high-level event. More than 70 percent of attendees and speakers are top leaders from international energy groups, oilfield services providers, drilling contractors, offshore engineering companies, facilities and equipment vendors, FPSO operators, finance and law institutions.
China Offshore Summit 2010 is a great way to benefit from exclusive industry information, experience & technology sharing, as well as meet and network with industry elites from around the world.
