LNG operation unaffected by gas leak incident

BINTULU: The Petronas LNG Complex operation at Tanjung Kidurong here is unaffected by the gas leak incident which killed a worker here yesterday. 

In a statement, the complex's operator, MLNG Sdn Bhd, said the leakage had been contained by the emergency response team. 

"Measures have been put in place to safeguard the area," it added. 

The leak took place about 4.50pm at one of the complex's feedgas receiving units at MLNG Tiga plant.
A worker died believed to have been exposed to the gas cloud. 

Two other employees who were working with the victim have been sent to the Bintulu General Hospital and are in stable condition, the statement added.
